Activities :

ANNUAL PROJECTS AND SUPPORT

Fourth of July Parade
Help provide the funding for the 4th of July Fireworks
Helped write grants and donated money to create the Walking Path in the Daren Baker Memorial Park.
We help maintain the Walking Path and donated money for the Vandalism Reward fund.
Provide scholarships (typically 4) to graduating seniors of Milan High School
Assist with Eye Screenings in the community schools around Ripley County
We provide support to Milan students that may need assistance in buying eye-glasses
Sponsor Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts
Sell admission tickets for all home Milan High School basketball games.
Sell tickets at Indiana State Fair gates to support the Indian State Lions Foundation.
5th Grade school free Dictionary project.
Provide Dictionaries for the Milan Elementary School library
Provided Spanish-English dictionaries for the high school.
Publish a Community Calendar with Birthdays, anniversaries and community events including the Milan High school sports and concert events
Milan High School Craft Show
We help decorate the community during the Christmas Season by putting up and taking down the Christmas decorations
We support and help maintain Camp Woodsmoke- a Lions District camp near Lake Santee providing camping opportunities for handicapped children.
We support and help maintain the Indiana School for the Blind And Visually Impaired in Indianapolis,IN
We sell large size coloring books to provide enjoyment to children and funds for the club
We support the Milan Community Relief or Food Pantry with funds.
We collect used eyeglasses, cell phones, and hearing aids for recycling
Donate funds to the Milan Fire Department, Rescue 30 and the Milan Council of Churches
Donate money to Juvenile Diabetes and help raise awareness.
Provided hay for the Reward Riding Program.
We also support the following State Lions Programs: Cancer Control, Lions Eye and Tissue Bank, Leader Dog Program, Speech and Hearing.

Ice Cream Social at the Baptist Church on July3rd; July 4th @8am - Breakfast at the United Methodist Church; @ 12pmEat lunch at the Milan Volunteer Fire Department; @8pm - Music in the Park; Fireworks @10pm
